A little alchemy.
I’m drawn to images, desires and patterns that feel deeply personal but somehow shared. Shadow work feeds that search. Myth gives the story a structure, while color, rhythm and editing carry what words can’t.
My writing and earlier films stand on their own, but they’ve also helped me build toward Pisces Rising. That’s where thriller, psychology and myth come together.
I want to make films that bring those parts together without losing the fun. Something strange, seductive and alive, with meaning you can feel.

Moon in Scorpio moves through the pain of shattered illusion; THOTH through compulsive loops and escape; and Pisces Rising, a feature in development where desire and self-possession collide as a 96-hour countdown begins,all leading to one eclipse, where the loop will end whether they are ready or not.
THE FILMMAKER
Ryan Chang.
Ryan Chang is an internationally award-winning filmmaker and writer-director who served six years in the military. His curiosity moves from obsessive notes in Jung’s Mysterium Coniunctionis to DJing in Ibiza, from the Thoth Tarot to Spice Girls videos.
At Nida Art Colony, he researched color, editing rhythm and myth for Pisces Rising and B:I:T:C:H:E:S G:O R:O:U:N:D.
Now in pre-production on Pisces Rising, he also works across production and post-production on narrative, documentary, commercial and experimental projects.

Why does an
image hit?
A look inside the way I think about filmmaking—using experimental and structural cinema, symbolism, subjective point of view, and Jungian psychology to explore how images can carry psychological meaning before we consciously decode them.
The deeper architecture is there so the image hits harder—not so the viewer has homework to do.
