Shot entirely on the 53rd anniversary of Yukio Mishima’s suicide, Moon in Scorpio was filmed in a microcinema immediately following a screening of Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters.

The work functions as a ritual of reckoning—an exploration of the moment when parts of the self must symbolically die in order for something true to emerge.

This is not a film about closure.
It is a meditation on the sacred rupture:
a descent into the pain of shedding what no longer serves, and the flicker of power that appears in its place.

PERFECT DRUG — Opens the initial thread of artifice and digitality as channels of intimacy hinted at in Kubrick’s A.I. Viewed through the lens of pornography as both artificial proxy and nervous-system imprint, it marks the first pulse in a larger journey toward reclaiming intimacy from fear and distortion — a journey that expands fully in Pisces Rising.

An unflinching exploration of feminine distortion through pornography and artifice, Perfect Drug confronts the viewer with the seductive unreality of the image. Created with no prior filmmaking experience, it was shot AND edited entirely by Ryan — the earliest attempt to encode personal myth into moving image.

Raw, unresolved, and already dangerous, it stands as both a relic of its time and a prophecy of the cinema to come. The seed from which Moon in Scorpio, Thoth, and Pisces Rising would grow.


Composed from thousands of still photographs running at 60 frames per second, Thoth unfolds like a digital ritual—part Takashi Ito, part synthetic trance.
Created in close collaboration with Spencer, who served as a kind of intuitive mirror—tuning the signal, sharpening the frequency.
The film explores our relationship to the artificial: 
Is this memory or machine? Illusion or invocation? 
Thoth doesn’t explain.
 It’s a film for your nervous system.
