SCREENING PASSWORDs: PISCESISRISING
PISCES RISING IS A GROUNDED, NARRATIVE-DRIVEN PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER. THE MATERIALS BELOW ISOLATE AND STRESS-TEST SOME OF ITS MORE UNUSUAL FORMAL SYSTEMS.
PISCES RISING — VISUAL DEVELOPMENT
DRAGONFRAME PRE-INTRO
Visual development / practical image-making
A tactile single-frame sequence created in Dragonframe as an existing practical element for Pisces Rising. The piece establishes a physical, image-based entry into the feature’s visual language before live action begins.
THOTH
EXPERIMENTAL SHORT / FORMAL LANGUAGE + FINISHING
A densely constructed experimental film built primarily from individually captured images, using radical editorial rhythm, color, sound, VFX and single-frame manipulation to carry a psychological narrative.
TESTED: radical subjective form, nonverbal storytelling, strobe, color, psychological action, editing rhythm and post-production complexity.
MOON PROVED THE METHOD.
THOTH PROVED THE LANGUAGE.
UNREAL MAPPED THE FEATURE.
PISCES IS THE SYNTHESIS.
Pisces Rising brings these tested methods into a more grounded, narrative-driven feature thriller.
UNREAL CLUB PREVIS
Visual development / camera + spatial previsualization
Script-mapped previs for the feature’s opening club sequence, developed to test geography, lensing, blocking, camera movement, timing, lighting changes and production economy before principal photography.

WHY THESE FILMS ARE HERE
Moon in Scorpio and THOTH were deliberately created under severe creative and production constraints to push individual formal problems later carried into Pisces Rising as far as possible.
They are R&D, not tonal templates. Pisces Rising is substantially more grounded and conventionally narrative than either short. Both completed films subsequently received audience and festival recognition.
MOON IN SCORPIO
NARRATIVE SHORT / DIRECTING + PRODUCTION METHOD
A compact narrative production built through intensive preplanning under severe resource constraints: one primary location, three performers and roughly five hours of principal photography.
TESTED: psychological space, projection, minimal exposition, performance, preparation under extreme constraint.
